All students in the City School District of Albany will have a day of distance learning Thursday due to the weather forecast, which is calling for the first significant snow of the season in the Capital Region.
Students attending school in-person will go home Wednesday with materials they will need for distance learning. Teachers also will make sure that all planned instruction and digital resources are available for students Thursday through Google Classroom.
We also have a Google Classroom/Virtual Learning section with additional resources and guidance for students and families.
- Middle and high school students who normally attend in-person should follow their same daily schedule in the distance learning environment Thursday
- All elementary students will follow the schedule for distance learning at their school. Each school will send that information home with students Wednesday, and Thursday’s schedule also will be available on each school’s page
“Grab and go” meals for Thursday will be available for all in-person students at dismissal Wednesday.
Meal pickup also is available each school day at 15 schools throughout the district. Families can pick up breakfast and lunch each day from 9 a.m.-noon or 10 a.m.-1 p.m., depending on the location.
We will return to our regular instructional schedule Friday.
