Now that we have reached the midpoint of the first marking period, the City School District of Albany is providing parents and guardians with an opportunity to review instructional and transportation choices for the second quarter where applicable, and to provide additional information that will help with our planning.
This new survey provides an opportunity to request instructional or transportation changes for students in prekindergarten through grade 6, as well as for students in self-contained classrooms K-12. The district is committed to the full virtual model for our general education students in grades 7-12 at least through the second marking period, which ends Feb. 1.
The deadline to complete the second-quarter survey has been extended through Friday, Oct. 30 at 5 p.m.
Download a copy of the survey in our top languages:
Arabic | Bengali | Burmese | Dari | Karen | Kinyarwanda | Pashtu | Swahili | Urdu | Spanish
You can access the survey using your student's district Google account login credentials. The survey takes just a few minutes to complete. The second marking period begins Nov. 16.
Please be aware that our ability to grant new instructional or transportation requests for the second quarter may be limited or have restrictions based on our capacity. Due to these limitations, we will do our best to accommodate requests to change instructional or transportation preferences for the second quarter.
This survey also will allow parents and guardians to tell us about students’ technology needs as we plan to implement a 1:1 computing model once our delayed Chromebook order is filled. At this time, the district anticipates delivery in November.
Finally, the survey gives parents and guardians an opportunity to provide digital authorization for three important district forms:
- Computer and Network Acceptable Use Agreement
- Photo and Media Release Agreement
- FERPA Directory Information
If you have any questions about the survey or need help with your student's district Google login credentials, please contact your building principal.
