¡Qué celebración!

Students, teachers and staff in the Dual Language Program at O’Neal School of Excellence celebrated el día de la hispanidad – Hispanic Day – wearing clothing that represents their country of origin or country of heritage.

The Dual Language Program is the district’s bilingual education program, where students are educated in both Spanish and English. Dual Language teachers hail from or have cultural ties to a dozen Latin American countries including Mexico, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Argentina, Chile, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Cuba.

Friday is the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month, which began Sept. 15.
