The City School District of Albany’s Internet connection remains available for all students, faculty and staff using Chromebooks on Friday as the district continues to focus on safely restoring web access following last week’s cybersecurity threat.
Access to some systems and resources has been restored on desktops and laptops, but others remain unavailable using devices other than Chromebooks. The district is following strategic steps toward full restoration of Internet access for all devices. We will continue to provide updates.
None of the district’s information has been comprised by the cybersecurity threat, which was first detected Nov. 5. The district is working with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to investigate.
All school and district operations continue to operate on the usual schedules Friday.
We continue to be grateful for your patience and understanding while we work to resolve this issue.
