to take a look at a typical day of in-person learning in Christina Ferguson’s prekindergarten class here at Arbor Hill Elementary School.

As part of their ongoing “Fun Friday” science series, students got a hands-on lesson in volcanoes. After sharing their collective knowledge of volcanoes, students constructed small-scale models using common household food products with assistance from Ferguson and teaching assistant Deborah Stanfield.

After activating the “volcanoes” with vinegar, students took out their journals to draw the results of the experiment.
