The City School District of Albany Board of Education confirmed the following administrative change for Arbor Hill Elementary School on Thursday night, part of district-wide staffing reductions caused by devastating anticipated reductions in state aid that could total as much as $23.2 million for the 2020-21 school year.
The assistant principal position held by Janet Escoto-Lavoie was eliminated at Arbor Hill in the reductions. Escoto-Lavoie will transfer to Albany School of Humanities (ASH) to serve as the new assistant principal there, effective Sept. 29.
