VIP visit at Arbor Hill Elementary

A female prekindergarten student pats an Albany Police horse.

Some of the smallest students in the city met one of the largest residents in the city on Oct. 16.

Austin, the Albany Police Department's 22-year-old equine officer, visited the prekindergarten classes at Arbor Hill Elementary along with two human members of the mounted unit. The students learned about the important work the horses do, asked questions and got the chance to pet the gentle giant!
