On Sunday, April 24, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will sponsor an at the University at Albany. The City School District of Albany is partnering with the Albany Booster Club to support this important community event, which is organized to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
Supporting the social-emotional and mental health needs of our students is a priority for our school district. Throughout our schools, we have student support teams and caring faculty and staff members who are committed to being there for our students. They build relationships that provide our students with that trusted adult they can turn to when they are having a difficult time or are in crisis.
We are proud to champion these awareness activities in our community.
The event will start at noon on April 24 at UAlbany's uptown campus, on the Dutch Field near Dutch Quad. The first 150 people to will receive a free t-shirt.
