The City School District of Albany will hold a virtual community budget-development forum Thursday to provide an update on the status of the district’s planning for 2022-23.
Thursday’s meeting will be from 6-7 p.m. You can on the district’s YouTube channel, and submit questions in advance or during the meeting using our Feedback form.
The Board of Education reviewed the most current draft of the budget at its March 17 meeting. You can download the presentation from that meeting, or of the presentation and discussion (the budget presentation begins at 4:22:10).
The board expects to finalize the budget proposal in the coming weeks, following the state’s adoption of its budget for 2022-23. The state’s budget is due April 1 and will include final state aid projections for all school districts.
Following the board’s adoption of the final budget proposal, the district has virtual presentations scheduled for April 27, May 10 and May 14 to allow all community members to learn more and ask questions in advance of the budget vote.
The annual budget vote and board election is scheduled May 17.
