The City School District of Albany Board of Education special meeting scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 19 has been postponed. The district has not yet received the necessary information to complete the tax warrant, and also is anticipating potential changes in health and safety guidance for fall sports.
The district is rescheduling the meeting into two separate special meetings:
- Friday, Aug. 20 – This special meeting will focus on a district update and fall sports, including any updated health and safety guidance that may be applicable. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. and will include public comment.
- Monday, Aug. 23 – This special meeting will focus on the tax warrant. This meeting also will begin at 5 p.m. and will include public comment.
Both meetings will be held in-person at Harriet Gibbons Student Services Center, 75 Watervliet Ave. The meetings also will be livestreamed for public viewing.
If you are not planning to attend in-person, you can visit our Addressing the Board section to find out how to submit public comment by phone, email or regular mail.
If you are attending in-person, masks are required for all individuals inside all district buildings, regardless of vaccination status.
